Windrush 75

My thoughts on Windrush75.

I am so proud of my grandma, her foresight and bravery in her journey to the UK. Without her and the community she arrived with, none of us could strive and live in this modern day society we call home. In the 100th anniversary of their arrivals, we won’t have the privilege of seeing them or hearing their stories. As their descendants, we live in their legacy and have our own choices to make. I don’t want us to be here deciding in the next 15 years on whether we tell their stories, and compensate fairly. This is needed now and urgently.
